Injury Update: Five Out Injured, and One Doubtful for Liverpool Against Everton.

Liverpool will be without Diogo Jota for their upcoming Merseyside derby clash against Everton at Goodison Park. Jurgen Klopp revealed that the versatile forward has suffered a setback following their recent win over Fulham.

Despite Jota’s return to action after a two-month absence, he experienced an issue and will be sidelined for the next two weeks, missing crucial matches against Everton, West Ham United, and Tottenham Hotspur. This absence poses a challenge for Liverpool as they aim to extend their lead over Manchester City in the Premier League title race.

Jota joins four other sidelined players for the Reds. Conor Bradley remains unavailable until next month, while Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara are ruled out for the remainder of the season due to knee and hip injuries, respectively. Additionally, Ben Doak continues his recovery from knee surgery.

With Jota out, there’s an opportunity for other players to step up. Stefan Bajcetic featured for 45 minutes with the under-21s as part of his recovery from a long-term issue. Jayden Danns and Lewis Koumas also impressed during the under-21s match against Sunderland, potentially vying for a spot in Klopp’s squad for upcoming fixtures.
