BBC Report: Mo Salah’s Liverpool exit decision made as revealed shock fee

According to reports, Mo Salah has been told by Liverpool manager Michael Edwards that he will not be prevented from leaving Anfield this summer if the Egyptian star decides he wants to leave.

Mo Salah will reportedly leave Liverpool for Saudi Arabia this summer

A BBC pundit has revealed the shocking new fee required to secure Salah’s services.

Considered one of Liverpool’s greatest acquisitions ever, the 31-year-old came from Roma in the summer of 2017 for an incredible £36.9 million. Salah, who ranks third on the team’s all-time top goalscorers list after scoring an incredible 210 goals in 343 appearances, has been a major contributor to the success the Reds have experienced under Jurgen Klopp.

Salah is still regarded by many as Liverpool’s most important player, so his contribution to the team cannot be understated. However, his contract at Anfield is set to expire in the summer of 2025, so the Reds will have to make a big decision this summer.

At £350,000 per week, he is currently the highest paid player in the club. If Liverpool wanted to keep him past the summer, they would probably have to match or even surpass that amount, given the high demand for his services.

Saudi Arabia has expressed a strong interest in signing Salah, and Al Ittihad has made no secret of their desire to bring in the Egyptian as the next big name signing, following in the footsteps of players like Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Nonetheless, it is understandable why the Gulf State would be thrilled to have the Reds star as their new poster child given that Salah is regarded as the “greatest Muslim player of all time.” In short, the 31-year-old is utterly adored in the area.

A Liverpool star is expected to depart with Klopp
Al Ittihad is reportedly willing to offer Salah a salary that surpasses his expectations; a £127 million annual contract is reportedly on the table. With a weekly salary of an incredible £2.4 million, Salah’s potential suitors would be hard-pressed to resist the temptation, especially considering Liverpool’s lackluster offer.

The Saudi Pro-League’s director of football, Michael Emenalo, made no secret of his admiration for Salah, telling Sky Sports last year that they would love to sign him.

“Mo Salah, along with players like Lionel Messi, Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Kevin De Bruyne, are players that we are willing to listen to when there is a sense of availability for them,” the speaker stated.

However, we also recognize that Mo is content with his current situation and that Liverpool is a fantastic, historic club. We really appreciate that, and we don’t want to appear to be placing any pressure on him.

“But Mo Salah is a player you want in your league, in any league, if there’s any interest to do something about it.”

In fact, Liverpool turned down a £150 million bid for Salah’s services from Al Ittihad last summer at Klopp’s insistence.

But since the German is expected to depart this summer, there is increasing speculation that Salah will follow him out the Anfield exit.

And as his contract approaches a crucial turning point this summer, rumors are starting to circulate that Edwards won’t stand in the way of the Egyptian should he determine it’s time to take on a new challenge elsewhere.

Mo Salah: Edwards is prepared to approve the sale once a new price is determined.
Pundit Clinton Morrison provided an update on the situation and stated why he thinks Salah will leave. According to Morrison, Edwards, the man who initially brought Salah to Anfield, will consider a large-scale offer for the aging player to be too good to turn down.

Instead of surpassing the record-breaking amount of €222 million (£198 million) that Neymar’s summer 2017 transfer to PSG set, as was previously stated, Morrison told BBC Radio Five Live that an offer of £100 million will probably be sufficient going forward.

With Salah present, “they are trying to make the Saudi league grow and will go to another level,” according to Morrison.

“They have included players like Neymar and Ronaldo. Salah is thirty-one if you include him, and Fletch, you made a valid point.

“Neither the new manager nor any Liverpool supporter would wish to lose Salah. He plays some amazing numbers from the right side. His stats are absurd.

Will they be able to find a player who can perform in the same way as Salah?

“However, he is reaching an age where I can see him leaving this summer if you can get over £100m for him.”

Any money made from Salah’s sale will be immediately reinvested in the team’s strengthening, with the acquisition of a new offensive player to take Salah’s place most likely at the top of the priority list.

As the current favorite to succeed Klopp at Anfield, Ruben Amorim is expected to transform Sporting CP’s strike force by making a €100 million player the team’s first acquisition of his era.
