According to Belgian media outlet Sudinfo Sports, West Bromwich Albion have entered the race to sign Brahima Diarra, a young talent from Huddersfield Town. Leicester City, Bristol City, and Hull City are also reportedly interested in the 20-year-old midfielder.

Diarra’s contract with Huddersfield expires at the end of the season, indicating his likely departure from the John Smith’s Stadium. There have been no indications of a contract renewal, and speculation during the winter transfer window suggested that Huddersfield might be open to selling him to avoid losing him for free.

After joining Huddersfield in 2019, there were high expectations for Diarra as an attacking midfielder. He made his debut at the age of 17 in 2020 and gained regular first-team experience during a loan spell at Harrogate Town. However, his progress was halted by an ankle injury that ended his 2021/22 season after 10 League Two appearances.

Diarra has since made 44 appearances for Huddersfield and earned a call-up to Mali’s under-23 team. He is also expected to represent Mali in the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.

Several clubs have shown interest in Diarra over the past months, leading to a potential scramble for his signature at the end of the season. West Brom is reportedly interested in adding young talent to their squad, especially as they are in contention for a play-off spot under Carlos Corberan. Leicester City is also linked with Diarra, emphasizing his potential for playing at the highest level. Hull City and Bristol City vare among the other clubs interested, alongside teams from France, Belgium, and Portugal.

Diarra is reportedly eager to embark on a new challenge and move to a different club for the next phase of his career.
