The Dallas Mavericks revealed on Saturday that their star guard, Kyrie Irving, is dealing with a right heel contusion. According to the franchise, there is no timetable for Irving’s return.

During Friday’s 112-125 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, Irving sustained an injury in the second quarter. While driving to the hoop, the 31-year-old was fouled and went to the ground. Dwight Powell, Irving’s teammate, was attempting to get a loose ball at that moment when he stumbled and fell on Irving’s foot.

In a statement on X, the previous Twitter platform, Irving expressed gratitude to supporters and said he is “feeling better than I was yesterday, and for now, that’s all I can ask for.” I’ll be alright.

Right foot pain has been a persistent problem for Kyrie Irving since the beginning of the 2023–24 NBA season. He has already missed four games as a result of this. He has already been declared out of the Memphis Grizzlies game on Monday.

Irving has been playing well when he’s been available. At the moment, he is averaging 23.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.

With a 13-8 record, the Mavericks are now third in the Western Conference.
