Neil Warnock drops hint about Rangers signing Aberdeen star in live transfer talk.

Rangers and Celtic have been namechecked by Neil Warnock in a brand new transfer admission surrounding Aberdeen striker, Bojan Miovski.

The North Macedonian striker has shone brightly during a challenging season at Pittodrie, netting 14 goals and providing two assists in 31 Scottish Premiership appearances despite Aberdeen’s struggles.

Although Aberdeen may wish to retain the 24-year-old beyond the upcoming summer transfer window, former manager Warnock believes Miovski will likely be sold, with both Rangers and Celtic showing interest.

On talkSPORT, Warnock remarked, “I think they might sell him in the summer. He’d fit in well with the top two [Rangers and Celtic] because of his hard work. He put in about 10km when we faced Rangers, working tirelessly. He’s also a clinical finisher, and his time at Aberdeen has been beneficial for his development.”

Will Rangers or Celtic win the transfer race for Aberdeen ace Bojan Miovski?

Rangers are expected to search for a new striker this summer, with doubts lingering about Cyriel Dessers’ future due to inconsistent displays. Kemar Roofe and Danilo have faced challenges with fitness and form, leaving Philippe Clement with limited options. Signing a new center-forward will be a priority for Rangers.

Despite the general expectation for the Belgian to seek opportunities abroad this summer, Miovski’s familiarity and proven goal-scoring ability in the Premiership could be extremely valuable in a title race.

Both Rangers and Celtic have faced accusations of transfer snobbery regarding domestic talent in the past. Whether this perception resurfaces this summer remains uncertain, but Miovski is undoubtedly a player Rangers will be keeping a close eye on.
