Aston Villa to Accept £15m Bid from Ajax for 20 year old Midfielder.

Aston Villa will demand around £10-15million for Tim Iroegbunam this summer, sources have informed Football Insider.

The 20-year-old is reportedly Ajax’s top target going into the off-season. Football Insider reported on Tuesday, March 26th, via sources, that the Dutch powerhouses are considering a trade for Iroegbunam.

The midfielder made an impression in the Europa Conference League Round of 16 matchup between Aston Villa and Ajax, both at home and away, as Aston Villa advanced with a 4-0 aggregate victory.

Despite having many senior stars above him in the pecking order, he is highly regarded at Aston Villa but has struggled to get playing time under Unai Emery.

After Ajax revealed that Iroegbunam has appeared for Villa’s senior team eight times this season, totaling 148 minutes of play, Aston Villa is prepared to cash in on the player.

In an effort to abide by the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Regulations (PSR), the Midlands giants are willing to cash in on the 20-year-old homegrown star, a reliable source has told Football Insider.

According to sources, Emery’s team will request payment for his services in the range of £10–15 million.

Last summer (2023), Aston Villa sold Aaron Ramsey, Jaden Philogene, and Cameron Archer, with the homegrown players adding pure profit to the club’s finances and improving their PSR standing.

The 2022–2023 season saw Iroegbunam, an England Under–20 international, play regularly on loan for Championship team Queens Park Rangers.

In 33 games overall, he made 28 starts for the Londoners.
