Hibs have agreed a fee with Stromsgodset for the sale of Elias MelkersenFootball Scotland can reveal.

The striker was told recently by manager Nick Montgomery that he DID have a future at the club should both parties agree a return from his loan would be the best option. But the Norwegian club made their intentions clear that they wanted to keep hold of the 20-year-old with his four goals from 12 games this season so far.

The loan stint was due to end at the end of the Eliteserien season but now Football Scotland understands a sum between both clubs has been agreed upon and the smaller details are now being thrashed out.

We told you just this morning how the Norwegian side – who sit seventh in their division – wanted to keep hold of the player and the move has hastened with the Easter Road outfit agreeing a fee for the player.
