Report: West Ham and Tottenham are aiming to recruit a dynamic attacker for £34 million.

Before the summer transfer market opens, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keeping an eye on Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White, according to TalkSPORT.

After joining Forest in the summer of 2022 from Wolverhampton Wanderers, the 24-year-old has been a constant in their Premier League plans ever since. The club may have to sell him, however, since they must recover money to prevent losing future points for going over the Profitability and Sustainability caps.

The attacker is being watched by Spurs and Hammers. Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham, has a fondness for Gibbs-White, and the two sides get along well since Tottenham bought Brennan Johnson from Forest last summer. He is seen by West Ham as a possible successor to Lucas Paqueta, who is still connected to Manchester City.

excellent playmaker

Although Gibbs-White can play anywhere in the offensive line, he has mostly served as Forest’s attacking midfielder. In 33 games, the Englishman has scored 4 goals and provided 5 assists for Nuno Santos’ team. Aside from his goal participation, he has shown promise in winning many duels, creating chances, and recovering the ball.

He may be James Maddison’s team backup according to the Spurs. With a game remaining, the North London team is now 3 points behind 4th-placed Aston Villa and has a strong chance of making it into the Champions League. This may play a significant role in persuading Gibbs-White to move to them.

Meanwhile, with Paqueta’s impending departure, Gibbs-White at West Ham may be a sure starter. The Hammers are headed toward Europa Conference League qualifying via the league, but if they were to win the Europa League this season, they might also earn a spot in the Champions League. Therefore, it is impossible to rule David Moyes’ team out of the competition for the adaptable striker, who Transfermarkt values at £34 million.
