Dundee vs Rangers Suffers Postponement

Due to a flooded pitch, Dundee’s home match against Rangers has been postponed. As a result, Celtic leads the Premiership going into the international break.

With a 3-1 victory over St Johnstone on Saturday, the defending champions put pressure on Phillipe Clement’s team to move one point clear.

Sunday at the Scot Foam Stadium at Dens Park, there was an inspection of the surface at 9.15 a.m. before the scheduled noon kickoff. An hour later, match referee Don Robertson conducted a second inspection.

And at 10.28 a.m., Dundee posted a statement on their X account that said, “Today’s crucial Premiership match against Rangers has been postponed following the referee’s second pitch inspection this morning.

“The match has been cancelled due to waterlogging of the pitch caused by recent rainfall.”

Rangers issued a brief statement apologising for the postponement and promising to “make further comment in due course.”

On March 30, the Gers play their first home match against Hibernian; the same day, Dundee visit Tayside rivals St Johnstone.

“The ball is rolling,” said John Nelms, managing director of Dundee, to Sky Sports News. We have been working on this pitch since 5 a.m., and we have exhausted all options.

“As we speak, the ball is not bouncing in two small locations. The pitch is good for the most part.

They stated that they did not believe we would be able to make it playable before 1200.
