Harry Kewell plans to depart Celtic for a managerial position in the J-League

According to reports, Harry Kewell, the coach of Celtic, is in the lead competition to become manager of Yokohama F Marinos in the J-League.

Two and a half years ago, Celtic acquired Ange from this particular club.

Following a productive 18 months at Celtic under managers Ange Postecoglou and Brendan Rodgers, Kewell may make this probable move.

Ange Postecoglou’s replacement, Kevin Muscat, resigned from Yokohama F Marinos early on Thursday.

Using strong terminology, the Japanese website Sponchi refers to him as “Yokohama’s new manager.”

The Japanese media reports that the negotiations between Kewell and the Yokohama F Marinos are going “smoothly.”

Kewell managed in England’s lower leagues following his retirement in 2014 before coming to Celtic in 2022. He was employed by Ange Postecoglou at Celtic before he moved to Tottenham and was then employed by Rodgers.

Kewell has had a special impact on the development of wingers at Celtic, where he has coached players like Daizen Maeda and Luis Palma.
