Although Everton’s season has been marred by the sense that they should have received more, that is ultimately meaningless.
Relegation for the Toffees might very well come from both winning and losing a football match, as well as from deserving to have scored a ton of goals but failing to do so. It isn’t trustworthy.

Few can contest Everton’s current form, even though Dyche can continue to insist that his team is doing all the right things, making the correct moves, and just losing out in the end.
The evidence is clear to see—they have lost their last 11 Premier League games.
The underlying figures reflect their utterly unfortunate past. But until he takes action, how much longer can the former Burnley player make that suggestion?
This is a team that is in dire need of anything to shake them up, whether it’s throwing someone into a surprising role or giving an untested forward some minutes from the academy.
Though it wouldn’t hurt to occasionally experiment and lessen his intransigence, perhaps this trip away will help.
