As a call-up from the NBA G League’s Memphis Hustle, guard DeJon Jarreau was signed by the Memphis Grizzlies to a 10-day deal today. The deal’s terms were not revealed in accordance with team policy.

Since being acquired from the Capital City Go-Go via trade on December 26, Jarreau (6-5, 185) has played in 24 games (18 starts) for the Hustle during the NBA G League regular season. In those 29.7 minutes, he has averaged 17.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, 7.1 assists, and 1.3 steals. During the regular season, he led the Hustle to a franchise record four triple-doubles (second) and 11 double-doubles (tied for seventh in the NBA G League).

After winning the 2020–21 AAC Defensive Player of the Year title in his final year at Houston, the 26-year-old native of New Orleans was not taken in the NBA Draft of 2021. He has played 65 NBA G League showcase and regular season games with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Texas Legends, Go-Go, and Hustle. He made one NBA appearance for the Indiana Pacers during the 2021–22 season.
