SAID TO BEEVEN BETTER THAN KYOGO FURUHASHI ,CELTIC’S

Bojan Miovski is linked to Celtic in what might be a Scottish Premiership record move, and Nicky Devlin, who plays for Aberdeen, thinks the striker is the best center-forward in the entire top division.

It would be difficult for Brendan Rodgers to acquire a number nine who could be regarded as a true improvement over the excellent Yogo Furuhashi. But in Devlin’s opinion, a man who might soon be vying with him for a spot on the Hoops frontline is better than even Celtic’s talisman, the Japan international.

The Scottish Sun reports that Celtic is thinking of making a January move for the Aberdeen striker. Although scouts have been pouring into Pittodrie under Brendan Rodgers, the Dons are not about to give up on Miovski easily.

As per The Sun, Celtic would probably have to pay a record-breaking amount for Miovski, who might displace former Hoops captain Scott Brown as the most costly football player to ever transfer from one Premiership side to another, with a fee exceeding £4.4 million.

But Devin is probably going to say that Miovski would be well worth the money.

“In my opinion, he is the league’s best player in his position,” the former captain of Livingston told Aberdeen Live. “Miovski has contributed numerous goals to our team so far this season, despite our lackluster performance.”

Despite Aberdeen’s troubles at the bottom of the table, Miovski, a cheap £650,000 acquisition from Hungarian team MTK in the summer of 2022, scored 18 goals in his fantastic debut season in Scotland and has already scored 11 this season.

The Press and Journal is told by Aberdeen goalie Kelle Roos that Bojan is “brilliant.” “If you give him food, he will succeed. Bojan poses a threat in every way.

Sydney van Hooijdonk, a benchwarmer for Bologna, is apparently a target for Celtic as well. Van Hooijdonk would enter with a prolific reputation in Dutch football, having scored 19 goals on loan at Heerenveen in 2022–2023—much like former Hoops target Giorgios Giakoumakis.

However, given his track record in Scotland, Miovski might become Celtic’s top choice for a striker.
