Kenny Dalglish gives Rangers title backing and urges Celtic to get themselves ‘in tune’
The Hoops hero is refusing to rule his old side out but makes their rivals favourites
The Hoops and Liverpool legend has been so impressed with Philippe Clement’s work at Ibrox over the past few months, the Belgian’s only defeat coming against Brendan Rodgers’ men. He makes the Light Blues favourites to get over the line in the Premiership but did refuse to write Celtic off.
Dalglish told the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast: “Celtic have got it all going on. They got kicked out of the League Cup against Kilmarnock, as well as losing a league game to them too, then they lost to Hearts at home who Rangers just turned over 5-0. They really need to get themselves in tune.
“At the moment you’d have to say Rangers are the favourites and there are still two Old Firm games to come which could be vital for both teams – it’s a crucial fixture as it is! It’s always either been Celtic or Rangers for success in Scotland.”
