Now, Newcastle United is interested in acquiring Leif Davis, a left back for Ipswich Town.

Frustrating end to year for Newcastle as Magpies held to goalless draw by Leeds | Arab News

The Magpies’ FA Cup victory over Blackburn Rovers was not very convincing, but they are still through to the next round.

Newcastle let up a late equalizer to draw the match 1-1, and they needed penalties to advance.

At least the eventual win makes the team feel a little more upbeat than it did following Saturday’s crushing defeat at Arsenal.

Although Eddie Howe is still under duress, he might be considering summer additions, such as a new left back.

Newcastle United desires Leif Davis

Although Lewis Hall is currently on loan from Chelsea, it is unclear if he will sign a long-term contract.

If Hall proves to be Newcastle’s left back of the future, the Magpies may reenter the market, with Leif Davis of Ipswich Town being a target.

Given that Ipswich paid just £1.2 million to acquire Davis in 2022 from Leeds United, they could undoubtedly make a sizable profit at this point.

With an incredible 28 assists in 78 games for Ipswich, Davis has established himself as one of the top offensive left backs outside of the Premier League.

Given that he was born in Newcastle, the 24-year-old might also be interested in the transfer.

In the storied Wallsend Boys Club, where Alan Shearer used to hang out, among other people, Davis began his professional career.

Davis moved to Morecambe at an early age and was passed over by Newcastle; nonetheless, the Magpies are currently witnessing the development of an exceptional left defender.

Having owned a season ticket for Newcastle as a child, Davis would find it extremely difficult to turn down a request from Howe and company this summer.
