When the in-form Rangers return with a sextet and a fire, Scottish football is finished.

You could almost forget the effect of an early-season injury issue on Rangers as they thrashed Hearts at Ibrox. Rangers had been through a terrible run of injuries for approximately two years when Philippe Clement joined the team. At one time, the injuries were so severe that Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s career was practically lost.

Michael Beale failed to stop the decline, and Philippe Clement knew he would eventually clean up the clumsy injury catastrophe he’d taken over at Rangers when he arrived in Glasgow.

The return of six more players to the team is bad news for the rest of Scottish football, even though it’s an impossible job in four months as Rangers recover their swagger under the Belgian.

Strengthened Ibrox firepower versus Hearts
Rangers played with a true forward vigor and impetus in the crushing victory over Hearts, something that has been glaringly absent from the team in recent seasons.

The Ibrox team sent a message to the Scottish Premiership by easily destroying its third force, and there were plenty of goals and plenty of chances.

Kemar Roofe’s comeback, which saw him enter the game off the bench, was welcomed by Rangers supporters but undoubtedly concerning for Hearts.

The formidable striker is an exceptional poacher who will only further increase the team’s options as he recovers from injury.
